What do 40% of waste industry professionals think is most important when it comes to supercharging your waste strategy?

In today’s environment, every waste consultant needs to position himself or herself as offering a compelling and competitive service. But how do you add maximum value for your client with minimum effort and cost?

We recently ran a webinar with Dr. Darren Perrin, the Divisional Director for Sustainable Solutions at Jacobs UK, to explore areas where the client-consultant engagement could be taken to the next level:

  1. Communicating outcomes. It can be difficult communicating complex waste system dynamics and their changes over time. This can be overcome through the use of dynamic visual representations that are more intuitive and easy to understand even for stakeholders who are not waste specialists.
  2. Flexible but consistent. Regional modelling can be difficult and time-consuming as data is not necessarily collected or measured the same way across councils. Comparing apples with apples is much faster through the naus waste intelligence platform as it provides a standardised framework for computing this.
  3. Model more for less. With traditional methods of modelling waste scenarios, time and resource costs are often prohibitive as the process is arduous. However, it is now possible to model scenarios within minutes so waste consultants are no longer limited by these factors.
  4. What if? Consultants were once limited to using just one way of modelling across all waste streams. Supercharge your service by doing sensitivity testing and stress testing; this allows you to give your client more robust results with minimal additional effort.

At the end of the webinar, attendees (ranging from waste consultants to local government and waste regulators) were asked to tell us which area was the one they believed was the most important. 46 attendees responded to the question. 40% of respondents thought being flexible but consistent was the priority, although “what if” came a close second:
